ABOUT ME
A Licensed Professional Here to Guide You
I attained my BA in psychology at Florida International University, and earned my MA and PsyD from The Wright Institute in Berkeley California.
I have been fortunate to have lived and trained on both ends of the coasts as fundamental elements of mental health treatment and policy vastly differ. This experience has allowed me to incorporate treatment elements and adjust it to what feels right.
My training and professional experience include numerous facilities and private practices. During my graduate school training, I was assigned to different yearly practicums. Such rotations were with the City of San Francisco's community mental health centers, UCSF affiliated psychiatric hospitals for adults and children, homeless shelters for abused and neglected women and children.
Although, I was called back to Miami for post doc, I did leave my heart in San Francisco. I completed my post doc at the Institute of Child and Family Health where I specialized in Infant Mental Health and worked mostly on attachment theory with mothers and their babies, and performed developmental evaluations on children 0-5.
I decided to enter into the world of private practice soon after that. I longed to treat individuals without all the regulations and exceptions placed on clinicians and patients via institutions and insurance carriers. However, by popular demand, I am currently an in network provider for Cigna.
